A couple of years ago (long before Covid), I found a fellow Tai Chi- & Qi Gong blogger. His name is Anthony Korahais. He lives in Florida and I live in Munich, Germany.
I liked the way he talked about the internal arts and how he explained things. And then, I heard that he started teaching online classes. At the time he had a Tai Chi & Qi Gong studio, where he already taught for a couple of years. But in addition, he started teaching Qi Gong online.
I was sceptical at first. I mean, how can I learn Qi Gong online? How can I learn the moves? Understand the exercises? How will he, Anthony, pass on the knowledge through the computer?
But I like technology. I am a blogger. I like that technology got me into contact with many Tai Chi & Qi Gong practitioners all around the world. Like I probably could not talk to YOU, if we didn’t have the Internet!
Plus I think that we need to use modern technology to preserve the old internal arts. Of course, we have to practice them. But I thought: maybe it is possible to learn some Qi Gong online. I wanted to give it a try!
That was before Covid hit and we all had to go into psychial distancing. Now it just feels normal to have online classes!
What I love about Anthony’s online course is, that is so detailed and thorough. It takes 12 months with new lessons every week – just as if you’d go to a regular studio.
I was also happy to discover that Anthony manages to pass on so many valuable lessons. Not only the moves, but the theoretical background. It is so easy to follow.
I am still working my way through all the material. And actually that is one of the biggest advantages of an online course: I can go at my own pace. I can chooose: do I want to learn a new exercise today? Or do I want to replay the ones I already know?
I can learn at any time at any place. As a working mom, that is a HUGE benefit for me! No need to hire a babysitter!
